Thermalock®
The number one choice in thermal insulation
The Barnes Plastics Thermalock range of insulation products provides high performance insulation for low temperature vessels. These foams are also effective over a wide range of environmental conditions.
Thermalock – what it is and why it is better Thermalock features a simple self-locking mechanism that is a result of angled cuts within the shiplap joint. This feature combined with the lightweight nature of the material allows a single installer to attach the material to its host a section at a time by employing a simple snap together action.
- The material holds itself in place leaving both hands free for other operations.
- Less insulation thickness is required because of Thermalocks low K-values (insulation properties)
- All Thermalock materials are non-toxic and non-fibrous.
- Constant insulation thickness ensures reliable thermal resistance.
- Material can also be computer cut to meet varying contours and vessel sizes.
Barnes Plastics insulating foams for vessels
- Large vessel insulation.
- When it is not possible to use a pre-cut pipe section, segments of insulating foam are computer cut to accurately fit the largest of vessels.
Flat V-cut sheet insulation
- Also available for large vessels are v-scored sheets of insulating foam. A series of v-shaped channels are cut into
the sheets according to computer calculated instructions to enable the sheet to be bent around large vessels.
